Call for Candidates: Board of Education Vacancy
Term: May 2026 – April 2027
The Waterford Union High School District is seeking a visionary and community-focused leader to fill an immediate vacancy on the Board of Education. This 12-month appointment offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our schools and ensure that every student is prepared for college, career, and life.

The Four Pillars of Our District
The Board of Education operates through the lens of four strategic pillars. We are looking for a candidate who can contribute to these core areas:

Responsibilities & Commitment
The appointed member will serve from May 2026 through April 2027, with the option to run as a school board candidate in the 2027 spring election . This role involves:

Attending regularly scheduled Board meetings and special sessions.

Collaborating on policy development and district-wide goal setting.

Advocating for the needs of students while maintaining fiscal transparency.

Engaging with the community to represent the diverse voices of our district.
Candidate Requirements

Must be a resident of the district and a registered voter.

Must demonstrate a commitment to the district’s mission of high expectations.

Must be available for the duration of the term (May 2026 – April 2027).
