Table made for Norway Fire Department

A massive thank you to Mr. Joe Datka and his Woodworking & Construction Technology students for building this incredible custom table for the Norway Fire Department! It's a unique piece that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

NASA Stella

Under the leadership of Dr. Craig Kohn, a renowned science educator and researcher, WUHS students are using DIY spectrometers to measure electromagnetic radiation. This isn’t just a classroom experiment; it’s a "classroom analog" to the same technology NASA uses on its satellites to monitor Earth’s health.

By building and using these STELLA units, Waterford students are:

  • Analyzing Earth’s Data: Measuring 18 non-continuous bands of light to study plant health and ecology.
  • Applying Space Technology: Using handheld sensors that function similarly to NASA’s Landsat satellites.
  • Leading Innovation: Collaborating directly with NASA scientists to refine STEM curriculum used nationwide.
