American Legion Scholarship Programs

Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc.

In keeping with the mission of the Horatio Alger Association, the scholarship programs provide financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have significant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Eligibility criteria include: high school graduation in spring/summer, demonstrated critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income), and United States citizenship. Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Dealers Association

Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Dealers Association is pleased to announce that scholarships will be available in 2019 for high school seniors who are pursuing a career in the auto and truck industry. Deadline is January 15, 2019.  Application and eligibility requirements HERE.

Wisconsin Professional Police Association Scholarship Program

Any Wisconsin resident enrolling in a college or vocational/technical school in a course of study leading to a two- or four-year degree in police science, criminal justice, or a law enforcement-related field – which does not include law school – is eligible. Scholarship applications must be postmarked on or before February 1, 2019.  Please click here for application and requirements. 

Society’s Assets Scholarship

Society’s Assets is offering up to $25,000 with the number of awards to be determined.  The purpose of this scholarship is to assist people with disabilities in reaching their educational career goals.  High school students with disabilities who live or attend school in our service area (Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Rock and Jefferson counties) and attend full time to attain a degree are encouraged to apply for the society’s assets scholarship.  Applications are to be submitted by February 1, 2019.  Please download application HERE.    


TDS Telecom Foundation Scholarship

This year, the foundation will be awarding a minimum of 25 scholarships to high school seniors graduating in the 2019. Applicants must receive their home telecommunications bill from TDS to be eligible.  Please visit HERE to get an electronic copy of the application.  Must be postmarked by February 5, 2019.   


Por La Gente Association - Latino Academic/Community Scholarship & Athletic Scholarship

In an effort to promote educational opportunities to Latino youth in Racine County, the Por La Gente Association has established the Latino Academic/Community Scholarship and Athletic Scholarship to be awarded to area high school students.  To qualify, applicants must: (1) be of Latino descent; (2) be a Racine County resident; (3) be in their final year of high school; and (4) scheduled to attend a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis beginning the ensuing fall semester.  Each scholarship award is $3,000.  Please visit http://www.porlagente.org/ for application and more information.  Students must submit items by February 6, 2019.

Delta Theta Sigma Scholarship House

Delta Theta Sigma is offering housing & academic scholarships to high school seniors that will be attending the UW-Madison, or Madison Area Technical College beginning in the fall semester of 2019.  Both scholarships are available to male or female high school seniors and one application covers both scholarships and is available at http://www.deltathetasigma.com/scholarship . Deadline is February 15, 2019.

Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Scholarship Program

The Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Association Scholarship is available to any high school senior enrolled or planning to enroll in any university, technical college, community college in the United States, and the University of Wisconsin – Madison Agricultural short course program.  Eight to ten scholarship will be awarded for $ 500 each.  Please visit wisconsincattlemen.com to see rules and application.  Deadline is February 18, 2019.

Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 767 Scholarship

The Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 767, is once again offering one (1) $1,000 scholarship to eligible high school seniors graduating in 2019 from the Racine and Kenosha area high schools.  Please click HERE for application and requirements.  Deadline is February 28, 2019.  

Pagel Graphic Arts Scholarship Fund

Pagel Graphic Arts Scholarship Fund is providing scholarships ranging from $500 – $1,500 to be awarded for the Fall 2019 semester.  The Pagel Graphic Arts Scholarship Fund is open to individuals of all ages who are attending school full time and pursing some form of post-secondary education in the graphic communications industry.  Scholarship will be awarded based on academic performance, outside activities and financial need.  Please click HERE for application.  Complete application must be postmarked no later than Thursday, February 28, 2019.

Wisconsin Electronic Security Association

WIESA is pleased to announce the availability of two college scholarship awards to sons and daughters of active-duty police and fire personnel.  One $1,500 WIESA Youth scholarship will be awarded to a son/daughter of an active-duty police department member and one to a son/daughter of an active-duty fire department member.  Find the on-line application and instructions HEREDeadline March 1, 2019.   


2019 Design a Better Future Scholarship Program – HonorsGradU Scholarship

 This year HonorsGradU is offering scholarships of $10,000 each to five graduating high school seniors.  High school students can participate in a design-thinking community-building project.  They will design and work on a community improvement project, using a checklist as a guide.  Please click on https://honorsgradu.com/scholarship/ to see more details and deadlines. Wisconsin Restaurant Association

The WRA Education Foundation awards scholarships based on future plans in the food service and hospitality industry.  Over $39,000 in scholarships are awarded annually to food science, culinary arts and hospitality management students across the state.  Please visit here to apply online.  Deadline is April 1, 2019.   


Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation

This year the Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation will offer scholarships to approximately 65 Wisconsin public and private high school graduates based on need, academic achievement and character.  The annual scholarships - $10,000 for four-year programs and $5,000 for two-year programs – are renewable for the length of the program.  Must be a resident of Wisconsin, public and private high school student, basketball program participants in their senior year, and planning to attend a University of Wisconsin System school.  Please visit www.AbNicholasScholars.org to find the online application and more information on the scholarship.  Deadline is April 30, 2019. 


Kids’ Chance of Wisconsin Scholarship
