American Legion Scholarship Programs

Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc.

In keeping with the mission of the Horatio Alger Association, the scholarship programs provide financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have significant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Eligibility criteria include: high school graduation in spring/summer, demonstrated critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income), and United States citizenship. 2019 Design a Better Future Scholarship Program – HonorsGradU Scholarship

 This year HonorsGradU is offering scholarships of $10,000 each to five graduating high school seniors.  High school students can participate in a design-thinking community-building project.  They will design and work on a community improvement project, using a checklist as a guide.  Please click on https://honorsgradu.com/scholarship/ to see more details and deadlines. Wisconsin Restaurant Association

The WRA Education Foundation awards scholarships based on future plans in the food service and hospitality industry.  Over $39,000 in scholarships are awarded annually to food science, culinary arts and hospitality management students across the state.  Please visit here to apply online.  Deadline is April 1, 2019.   

Citizens Bank – Warren E. Hansen, Sr. Memorial Scholarship

Citizens Bank is pleased to announce that it will be offering six $1,000 Warren E. Hansen, Sr. Memorial Scholarships to graduating high school seniors attending schools in the communities that the bank serves.  Scholarship will be awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence, perform community service, and intend to pursue a career in business and/or finance.  Deadline is April 5, 2019.  Please click HERE for application and requirements.

The Alice Aber-Smith Scholarship Fund & The Earnest F. and Edna P. Aber Scholarship

For the academic year, 2019-2020 awards from The Alice Aber-Smith Scholarship Fund and The Earnest F. and Edna P. Aber Scholarship Fund shall be made only for attendance at a college or university that is affiliated with, or governed by a Christian organization.  Please visit HERE for application and requirements for these scholarships.  Deadline is April 15, 2019.   

Raymond Community & Business Organization Scholarship

The RCBO is offering FIVE scholarships to high school seniors who plan to enroll in an accredited technical school/trade school, or college. The high school senior must reside in the Town of Raymond, or surrounding communities, within Racine County, Wisconsin.  Please click HERE for more eligibility requirements and application.  Deadline is April 15, 2019.

Carrie Crystal Stuckert Memorial Art Scholarship

The Dream Pool Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization, is pleased to announce our 2019 Art Scholarship information.  Interested candidates must possess extra-curricular accomplishments and inspirational goals.  Academically capable students must be enrolled as an Art Major at an accredited institution of higher education located in the United States.  All applicants must be U.S. citizens.  For application, please visit HEREDeadline is April 26, 2019.   

Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation

This year the Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation will offer scholarships to approximately 65 Wisconsin public and private high school graduates based on need, academic achievement and character.  The annual scholarships - $10,000 for four-year programs and $5,000 for two-year programs – are renewable for the length of the program.  Must be a resident of Wisconsin, public and private high school student, basketball program participants in their senior year, and planning to attend a University of Wisconsin System school.  Please visit www.AbNicholasScholars.org to find the online application and more information on the scholarship.  Deadline is April 30, 2019. 


Kids’ Chance of Wisconsin Scholarship

Our mission as an organization is to provide educational scholarship to the children of Wisconsin workers who have been seriously or fatally injured in work-related accidents.  Please visit kidschanceofwi.org/scholarship to see more details and application. Deadline is May 1, 2019. 

Wisconsin Towns Association 2019 Scholarship Program

The Wisconsin Towns Association, Rural Mutual Insurance Company, and Scott Construction, Inc. will be awarding $7,000 in scholarship to high school seniors graduating in 2019 from either public or private high school in Wisconsin that plan to enroll in a Wisconsin public or private college or a university in 2019.  The winners are determined by independent judging of essay contest.  The essay should address the topic: “Please explain the importance of high speed broadband access to town economic and community development.”  Students do not need to be residents of towns.  Essays must be postmarked by May 31, 2019.
