American Legion Scholarship Programs

Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc.

In keeping with the mission of the Horatio Alger Association, the scholarship programs provide financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have significant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Eligibility criteria include: high school graduation in spring/summer, demonstrated critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income), and United States citizenship. 2019 Prudential Spirit of Community Award

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards were created in 1995 to recognize students in middle level and high school grades who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. Young volunteers in grade 5-12 complete applications online at spirit.prudential.com by November 16, 2018. For more information, please see website. 

Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin

Since 1988, the Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin (EFW), has been dedicated to providing scholarships and support to outstanding high school and college students pursuing engineering as a professional career.  Please visit

Volunteers in partnership with All Saints Scholarship

Mary E. Hamilton Memorial Scholarship is offering a $6,000 scholarship to an applicant that is a resident of Racine County and holds a B average or better.  The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance for education beyond the high school level for a student entering an accredited college/university to pursue a health care related degree.  For more qualifications and procedure for this scholarship, please click HERE for more details. All Saints Scholarship

James M. Wunsch Memorial Scholarship is offering a $500 scholarship to an applicant that is a resident of Racine County and holds a B average or better.  The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance for education beyond the high school level for a student entering an accredited college/university to pursue a health care related degree.  For more qualifications and procedure for this scholarship, please click HERE for more details.  Por La Gente Association - Latino Academic/Community Scholarship & Athletic Scholarship


In an effort to promote educational opportunities to Latino youth in Racine County, the Por La Gente Association has established the Latino Academic/Community Scholarship and Athletic Scholarship to be awarded to area high school students.  To qualify, applicants must: (1) be of Latino descent; (2) be a Racine County resident; (3) be in their final year of high school; and (4) scheduled to attend a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis beginning the ensuing fall semester.  Each scholarship award is $3,000.  Please visit http://www.porlagente.org/ for application and more information.  Students must submit items by February 6, 2019.

Delta Theta Sigma Scholarship House

Delta Theta Sigma is offering housing & academic scholarships to high school seniors that will be attending the UW-Madison, or Madison Area Technical College beginning in the fall semester of 2019.  Both scholarships are available to male or female high school seniors and one application covers both scholarships and is available at http://www.deltathetasigma.com/scholarship . 2019 Design a Better Future Scholarship Program – HonorsGradU Scholarship

Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 767 Scholarship

The Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 767, is once again offering one (1) $1,000 scholarship to eligible high school seniors graduating in 2019 from the Racine and Kenosha area high schools.  Please click HERE for application and requirements.
