Congratulations Mrs. Amy Koszarek! Mrs. Koszarek was selected by the Wisconsin High School Forensics Association (WHSFA) as the ‘Ethel Heise New Coach of the Year”. Wolverines Banking Starts with a Roar!

Through a partnership with Associated Bank, the official bank of the Green Bay Packers, we have launched a unique new program called Wolverines Banking. Waterford Union High School supporters can now open a Wolverines Banking account at Associated Bank’s Waterford branches to benefit the school district.  The District will receive a $50 contribution from Associated Bank for each checking account opened, as well as a quarterly donation based upon the combined deposit balances of all Wolverines Banking members. FFA's Environmental Science Team
Congratulations to the Waterford FFA's Environmental Science Team of Phil Davis, John Beneke, Sarah Heyer, and Jesse Bouffiou who placed 1st in the state Environmental Science competition on April 27th.  This team will be representing the state of Wisconsin in October at the National FFA Environmental Science competition in Indianapolis, IN.

Forensics - State Speech Festival
The forensics team had an outstanding showing at the State Speech Festival at UW Madison this weekend. 6 members earned gold medals by achieving perfect scores on their speeches or performances. These members include the following: Madison Lindeman, Radio Speaking; Sandra Kinzer, Demonstration; Carly Barnhardt, Farrago; Lauren Wolfson, Poetry; Caitlin Callahan, 4-minute Informative; and the duo of Mike Frank and Jonah Buettner in Play Acting. Congratulations to the entire team on a fantastic season.

Southern Lakes Academic Excellence Honors
The Annual Southern Lakes Academic Excellence Honors Banquet was held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Cotton Exchange in Waterford.  Congratulations to Waterford Union High School’s top ten academic graduates.  Front Row: Melissa Wollmer, Abigail Ball, Matthew Bartling, Connor Westrick, Jennifer Langfeldt ,Kate Stanger. Summer Strength and Speed Class
This class will be offered for all students enrolled into Waterford Union High School for the fall of 2012. The class consists of four segments, warm-up, weight training, speed training, and a cool down. The students are required to be at 15 of the 19 classes to get the 1/4 credit.

Marine Troop Sponsorship Drive
Defensive Driving Specialists is looking for businesses and individuals to help sponsor a Marine combat unit currently deployed to Afghanistan. The 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines otherwise known as 2/5 has 1200 Marines that we are trying to sponsor. The attached document lists the preferred items. We are also in need of shipping help and cash to purchase items not donated or if we need more of an item. There are 1200 men and women that need these items. No, the Marine Corps does not supply these items. The Marines have to purchase them on their own and they are very, very expensive. Please do your best to help out in any way you can. It is so very much appreciated. ALL DONATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 6/1/12
